Empowering Communities Through Financial Inclusion​

Yemisrach MFI is an initiative of few individuals who are Ethiopian nationals and have a strong and urging desire to contribute towards economic empowerment and holistic transformation of the low income section of their respective communities. A small group of prominent individual business owners from the private sector and intellectuals, while reflecting on livelihood security, women economic empowerment, youth employment and the recent challenges related to migration and youth unemployment, envisioned the idea of establishing a microfinance institution in an earnest and keen interest to contribute towards the national endeavors of poverty reduction and employment creation.

Yemisrach Micro Finance S.C (YMFSC) is established in accordance with proclamation No. 626/2009 and licensed from NBE in July 2018.It has been established with a paid up capital of 10,279,000.00 with 1916 shareholders and started its operation on February 01, 2019.

Yemisrach Micro Finance S.C (YMFSC) is to contribute towards the economic advancement and transformation of the country by providing appropriate financial services to small business entities, low income individuals and families in the general public.

The mission of Yemisrach MFI is to address the economic underpinning of low income segment of the population by way of ensuring equitable access to microfinance services.

To become high impact microfinance institution that serves as a change agent moving and directing a holistic transformation in the economic and social wellbeing of urban and rural communities with special focus on women, the youth and the productive poor.
